THE RULES & REGULATIONS
Please be courteous and respectful to every member of the site. In order to foster a healthy and welcoming community here on F/O, we do not tolerate malicious behavior nor derogatory remarks of any kind.
We do not allow explicit sexual content anywhere on the site. While the setting of F/O can range between PG-13 and Restricted, this is to abide by Jcink's Terms of Service. You may append a fade-to-black scene in your topics.
Drama or any other conflict outside of the roleplay is not tolerated and is to be kept off-site or in private messages. Staff are always available to address any issues or concerns you may have and will do so in privacy.
When registering your character account, please make sure to register as your character's online game handle name in lowercase, e.g. "elijah".
Please make sure to read through all of our information topics all conveniently located in the Database. If there's anything you're unsure about or if you need a sounding board for ideas, our discord is always open for such discussions. We also have a new member guide located here that serves as an index of all the basics you need to know, at your fingertips.
Face claims must be from an animated/comic/video game source. Your face claim should more or less align with your character's age, unless of other factors given the setting. The youngest age both your character and your face claim can be is 13 years old.
Original artwork for face claims is allowed on the condition that you own the artwork by either: A) you've drawn the artwork yourself or B) you paid a commission for it, and own the rights to.
Please be sure to read through the application guide for a more in-depth explanation of how it works, especially if it's your first time here.
Please remember to play fair and make sure that the experience is fun for all parties. While we are more heavily focused on the site plot and character progression, character death is uncommon but can occur. Please always ask for permission from each other beforehand before you delve into a potentially dangerous thread for your character(s).
Note: Upon death, characters will respawn back in Aithir while incurring some minor penalties.
Please be advised that certain elements and situations, such as site events, event missions, and other important threads can be marked as death enabled, regardless of your preferences.
Please tag your threads in the topic title with appropriate markers if it contains any of the following content: graphic violence, explicit language, or excessive amounts in either category, any mention or expression of any kind of dangerous and/or problematic material, that can be considered disturbing and/or harmful and for any implied sexual content.
Activity checks are held at the end of each month. These checks require you to have made a total of two in-character posts per month.
There is no limit to how many character accounts you may create, but please keep in mind that the Activity Check rules still apply to each account, so you are expected to keep up 2 posts per account, per month.
Your first three characters can be created without any prior posting requirement or commitment. Afterwards, you'll be required to have a minimum of five posts for every account you've created already before you can proceed with your next character.
Members who have posted absences/hiatus threads and/or have informed a staff member about their absence are exempt from activity checks. Unaccepted accounts that have finished their profile and are waiting for staff action(s), are exempt from activity checks. New accounts made a week prior and leading up to Activity Checks are not eligible for any posting requirements.
We only require you to provide a 200x200 large icon for the miniprofile.
The application cover image is sized at 500x200.
Should you need any assistance acquiring properly-sized images, please don't hesitate to contact any of our members for help.
