SERVANT SYSTEM EXPLAINED
When you create your character, you go through what's known as the Psuedo Servant Creation Process; a script in the game that assigns you to one of the seven classes available to play. These classes are exclusive to the existence of the Throne of Heroes, where for simplicity's sake, assigns you a Servant role and parameters to set the stage for battle.
That being said, due to some programming circumvention on FATE/Online's end, you have the power to choose what sort of Servant class you wish to be. Each class has its strengths, weaknesses, and traits unique only to them. Choose carefully and select the class you feel fits you best.
Heroic Spirit of the Sword
The qualifying aspect of the Saber class is the fact that they are warriors adept in swordsmanship. Known for their great strength, defence, and agile display of skill, they are valuable in every group, often placing them at the front of the war lines. While the class itself is capable of dabbling in some form of magecraft, their main focus is that they wield swords, be it magical or not.
Heroic Spirit of the Bow
Arguably the best solo class, the Archer class is a Servant focused on wielding projectile-based weapons and skills, making them effective scouts. They are good at dealing damage from a safe distance, and can function well either alone or in a group. Most Archers utilize bows and arrows, but non-traditionally any projectile weapon can work too, including guns and rifles.
Heroic Spirit of the Lance
Players placed within this class are very agile, display excellent close combat skills, show proficiency in hit-and-run tactics that capitalize on range and speed, and are skilled with long-range melee weapons such as spears and lances. This makes Lancers flexible warriors who tend to exploit weaknesses by playing smarter, not harder.
Heroic Spirit of the Mount
An unique class where their main asset lies in handling a mount, whether it is a beast or a manmade construction. Riders are generally weaker compared to other classes that shine in particular fields (Casters excelling in magecraft, Sabers excelling in physical strength, etc.) but being mounted allows them to take advantage of the terrain, making them indispensable to any party.
Heroic Spirit of Spells & Sorcery
Despite having the lowest combat abilities of any class, Casters are capable of achieving the very highest forms of magecraft instead. The branches of different schools of magecraft are endless, allowing players to specialize in virtually almost any form of magic they feel most compatible with.
Heroic Spirit of Assassination
While many other classes prefer to engage in direct combat, Assassins prefer to strike from the shadows. Notably possessing weaker parameters compared to strong classes such as Saber, Assasins make up by employing tactics and subterfuge to disorient instead of overwhelm. With the right conditions, they make for a deadly ally... or foe.
Heroic Spirit of Berserked Rage
Perhaps the most strongest yet difficult class to master, Berserkers are famously known for their Mad Enhancement trait that allows them to fall into a rage. This trance will briefly boost their attack, at the cost of removing any coherent sense of clarity nor sanity.
