ROLES & ATTRIBUTES
SERVANT SYSTEM EXPLAINED
When you create your character, you go through what's known as the Psuedo Servant Creation Process; a script in the game that assigns you to one of the seven classes available to play. These classes are exclusive to the existence of the Throne of Heroes, where for simplicity's sake, assigns you a Servant role and parameters to set the stage for battle.
That being said, due to some programming circumvention on FATE/Online's end, you have the power to choose what sort of Servant class you wish to be. Each class has its strengths, weaknesses, and traits unique only to them. Choose carefully and select the class you feel fits you best.
High in HP and trained in defense, a tank serves as the party's shield. Skilled at keeping a foe's attention and bearing the brunt of enemy attacks. Tanks can utilize a variety of tactics to aid them in distracting and surviving enemy hits, from either having high HP and defense, or evasive enough to keep enemies enthralled on them.
WEAKNESSES MODERATE DAMAGE, RELIES ON SUPPORT
THE DAMAGE DEALER
Excelling in dealing damage, whether it's from a distance or within close-range, DPS classes are the most abundant and versatile of the trio. Some DPS classes can excel in dealing high bursts of damage with long down times, while some deal minor but plentiful hits that would rack up damage over time.
WEAKNESSES PERSONAL QUIRKS, RELIES ON TANK
Healers use restorative arts to mend wounded companions. They can also help to mitigate damage, remove detrimental effects, and even bring fallen allies back from the brink of death. While not all support classes specializes in intense healing, some can grant bonuses and other useful buffs that others may not have access to, making them vital players.
WEAKNESSES UN-SOLOABLE, DEPENDS ON TANK/DPS
Attributes are additional physical and emotional characteristics thrown into the mix of parameters of your character. For example, the attribute of "Man" would make your character appear as closely as humanly possible, while the attribute of "Earth" may give your character more beastly qualities such as ears and a tail. Attributes don't give any bonuses in combat gameplay; they're simply akin to zodiac signs that your character would be the most aligned to.
Characters with the attribute of "Man" would strictly appear very human and "normal" within degree. They are also the most common of attributes, making most characters drawn to this attribute excel at any given profession they set their minds to, making them extremely versatile.
Characters with the attribute of "Earth" are beings that are closely related to the land and can commune with nature, often able to decipher and understand the tongue of beasts. They would appear to be part-beasts themselves, possessing animal-like qualities to reflect their true nature.
Characters with the attribute of "Star" are beings that are closely related to the heavens and constellations above, making them lofty dreamers yet extremely ambitious. Characters with this attribute would appear more petite than most humans, often exerting elvish-like features, and are more inclined to magecraft than the physical exertions of other strength-based classes. They seem to thrive more in the nighttime.
Characters with the attribute of "Sky" are beings that are closely related to the endless blue expanse and unlimited freedom. Characters with this attribute would appear larger and taller than the rest of the other attributes, making them appear akin to jotuns and giants of lore. They seem more inclined to physical classes than magecraft, and they thrive during the daytime when the sun is out.
